Could you please let me know where you got the details about cable down at the ocean? We live on 6th and do not have cable. Only today we called Oceanic time Warner and they said, "No service and no plans for it."

I believe the only thing they have in the area betwen 19th and beach is DSL with Hawaiian Tel. And they are very spotty (for instance they have DSL on 5th street between Makuu and Paradise but not between Makuu and the end of the subdivision).

currently I use Hawaiian Tel Comm for DSL at my 9th Ave house while I wait for my house to be completed on 3rd Ave. Royall, do you know if cable is at 3rd Ave yet, or if Hawaiian Tel Comm has DSL on 3rd Ave? Funny how infrustructure is slow coming to the Big Island!?!?

No I haven't called them in a long time. I get to hot when I do. If you do call for information ask for a supervisor first off. Other wise all you get is scripted rehtoric.

I live off of Makuu and 18th (towards the dead-end). There is no Road Runner, and if there is no DSL, I can't survive! Stan
